Course summary

Health and Transport are intertwined concepts with multiple threads of partnership working. Attendees at this workshop will explore joint interventions, approaches to evaluation and meet colleagues working on related issues. This workshop is funded by NESTRANS and CIVITAS PORTIS in support of HTAP.

On this course, you will learn about how to maximise the opportunities available when managing public health problems and gain the knowledge and skills necessary to plan, deliver and evaluate innovative health promotion interventions.

Learning Outcomes

  • Gain an understanding of the range and application of health promotion theories

  • Knowledge of the principles and stages of programme planning, implementation and evaluation

  • Gain an understanding of the importance of engaging with partners through collaboration to meet needs effectively

 

Following this session, participants will gain:

  • greater awareness of public health approaches, challenges and opportunities

  • greater understanding of barriers to partnership working

  • greater awareness of HTAP and FPH

  • 5 CPD points 

  • recommendations and observations from peer review of local initiatives
