Become a facilitator for our Practitioner Accredited Programme

The Practitioner Accredited Programme has been redesigned to meet the requirements for the UKPHR Practitioner Standards 2nd edition and the Faculty are looking for experienced facilitators to join our team and deliver these half-day/full day workshops. This programme enables practitioners to fill gaps in their knowledge base and offers CPD for those who have completed previous courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The participants are from all areas of the public health workforce so facilitators need to be able to apply and teach the key public health theories for all three domains of public health.

This programme of development has been delivered with positive evaluation results since 2016 and we are seeking more facilitators as demand for the workshops increases.

Requirements for the roles are as follows:

  • Recognised and valid teaching qualification / recognised teacher status

  • Demonstrable grasp of level 6 (degree level) materials and attainment (postgraduate public health qualifications essential)

  • Experience in facilitating learning at this level (at least 2 years) using a range of interactive methods

  • Appropriate level and currency of expertise in area being taught, including recent practice- within the last 3 years

  • Evidence of own CPD in both topic area and in teaching and learning

Timeline:

  • Application deadline Friday 20 December 2020

  • Notification of invite for Skype interview 10 January 2020

  • Skype Interviewing 28 or 30 January Successful applicants will need to attend a Facilitator Development Day during February (date TBC)
